Forestry is responsible for maintaining a healthy urban forest. This is accomplished by developing and carrying out a seven year trimming cycle
(some varieties of trees and younger trees may need to be trimmed more frequently). Tree inspections are done on a regular basis to insure that trees
are safe and healthy. Removals are required when a tree's condition poses a hazard to life or property.
Planting starts with selecting a tree that will flourish in our community, every tree planted by the Village is personally selected, and inspected by
the Village Arborist. Village Forestry Personnel take a proactive role by keeping up to date regarding new pests, tree maladies, treatments, and tree varieties.
